Three years and GROWING! OSES2016 moved to Malta to gather the most influential actors in the burgeoning Offshore Energy and Storage sector. This remarkable event saw the most diverse and influential delegation yet. The fitting and historic Maltese backdrop gave real context to the potential of Offshore Energy and Storage for island and coastal populations. Special Journal Issues of IET Renewable Power Generation and Elsevier's Journal of Energy Storage will feature the top papers from the event.
Offshore Energy and Storage 2015
University of Edinburgh, July 1-3, 2015
OSES2015 took place from July 1 to July 3, 2015 at the University of Edinburgh. Delegates were apprised of the startling progress in the rapidly burgeoning UK Offshore Energy and Storage sector. Tours of the globally unique FLOWAVE Facilities at UEdinburgh and Banquet at Edinburgh Castle made this a memorable event for all attendees. Combined Proceedings of OSES2015 and OSES2014 will soon be made available at the OSES2015 website.
Offshore Energy and Storage 2014
University of Windsor, July 10-11, 2014
The inaugural Offshore Energy and Storage OSES2014 was initiated through a partnership between researchers at the University of Windsor and the University of Nottingham. The Canadian commissioning of the world's first commercial offshore energy storage facility served as a flashpoint for the embryonic sector to organize a symposium. The catalytic success of the event propelled the staging of the much larger OSES2015 at UEdinburgh.
